End of the Seminar *Politics of Social Development*
This seminar was one of the best ones I`ve ever had at Kyushu University. I thank all the students who taught me a lot about their own countries for their valuable inputs to the seminar. We had a grilling session of five hours (from 4;00 to 9;00)as a grand finale.Professor Inaba and I agreed to that they were the cream of the overseas students.
IPSA World Congress in Fukuoka, 9 July - 13 July
Our panel, Civil Society in Northeast Asia held on the 9th of July. It was like a first round of 10,000 meter run in olympic games... not many people were there...
Still it was very much successful in a sense that nobody was absent. We have 5 paper presenters and two discussants from Korea, Taiwan, China, England and Japan.

Getting away from Work? 29th of June
Instant tourism opportunity in Kyoto. I had a brief moment of getting away from work after a meeting over Kazakhstan issues in Kyoto. Gingakusi.. It has one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. Does it look odd to held a bundle of documents in a place like this? Hmm...it is very much normal behaviour for people in this business...
Drinking session after the interim presentation of theses of my students!! 30th of June
In Japan, like in Korea, they normally have a drinking session called Nomikai after some events. I just followed the tradition of Japan and had a lot of drink with my students who did very well in their presentations. I was so fu**ed up and I don`t remember when I took these photos. I had four classes on the next day of this drinking session. How did I manage four classes after this? Well, I was just a bit tired and emotional!!
